Biography

My name is Amity Warme. I am a sports dietitian and chronically over-stoked rock climber, perpetually pursuing the next adventure. I find climbing compelling because it provides the opportunity for me to push my limits, physically and mentally, while exploring incredible landscapes and connecting with others in the climbing community. I live in a van with my husband, Connor. We spend much of the year traveling to various climbing destinations, seeking out adventures big and small. My secret climbing superpower is trying REALLY hard - I don’t give up! I love digging deep to accomplish a goal and enjoy empowering others to do the same. I enjoy most all disciplines of climbing but feel most drawn to big wall climbing because it requires a combination of every skill you have learned in order to pull off a successful ascent! I thrive on challenges and am eager to continue pursuing my peak potential in the sport! Additionally, I am passionate about helping others use nutrition to maximize both performance and long-term health. Feel free to say hi if you ever see me around!!

The SCARPA Athlete Mentorship Initiative presented by Mountain Hardwear has been created to connect and engage the SCARPA and Mountain Hardwear Athlete teams with accomplished athletes from historically marginalized communities aspiring to take their sport or career to the next level. The mission of this program is to connect mentors with mentees focused on the sports we serve to provide participants with opportunities for personal, athletic and career development with the goal of helping to create a more inclusive and diverse community of athletes.
