Biography
Professionally, I am an AMGA Assistant Rock Guide with a focus on LGBTQIA2S+ advocacy. I also have a background in engineering, materials science, and education. In 2020, I was learning how to climb trad in Joshua Tree when the pandemic began, and I spent the next four years working seasonal jobs and living out of a Toyota Prius.
These days, my home on wheels is only slightly bigger. I guide rock climbing year-round and serve as Technical Director for the all-queer guide service OUT in the Wild. Those that I climb with would say I’m “too” into slab and finger cracks. While that may be true, I’m most motivated by long, technical trad routes with a bit of intimidation and exposure. For me, it’s important to bring a sense of both science and artistry to everything I do.
You can find me in the cheese aisle of the grocery store, or at a trailhead looking for a reason to leave the #4 behind.
