Biography
My imagination has taken many forms over the years. As a kid, it lead me to the woods where I ran around pretending I was a character from one of the books that I loved, but once I discovered rock climbing in college, my imagination lead me to the mountains and my life has been totally different ever since.
Currently, I live in my van and travel around the US full-time, climbing wherever the road takes me next. Whether that’s boulders in Bishop, steep routes in Rifle, ridge traverses in the High Sierra, or big walls in Yosemite - I truly love it all, as long as I have the freedom to express myself and meet cool people along the way.
I’ve done traditional first ascents at Donner Summit, repeated big walls in Mexico, free-soloed long routes in the High Sierra, and even ticked a few “in a day” free ascents of El Capitan in Yosemite, but at the end of the day, what I’m most proud of are the lessons I’ve learned and the friendships I’ve gained through climbing.
After all, it’s the history of climbing that inspires me the most and the players that encourage me to go out there and pursue adventures of my own, just like I did when I was a kid.
