Biography

blue underline

I was born to two Syrian immigrant parents in San Dimas, California and spent most of my young life living in Portland, Oregon though I now live in Utah. Since I was a kid self expression has always been of great importance to me. I grew up playing and writing music in all sorts of bands and still write music as often as I can. As I got older the mountains started to become a deep interest of mine and quickly I found the ability to express myself through snow boarding. Once I found climbing I was immediately hooked on the diversity of expression within the different disciplines of the sport. Long alpine routes, first ascents, ice/mixed, sport, trad and bouldering all hold deep value and meaning for me. Currently my personal aspirations reside in free climbing routes in the bigger mountain ranges. I am a firm believer in the philosophy that human life is enriched by passion, through my work as a climbing guide and involvement with BIPOC climbing groups I find satisfaction in trying to help others find theirs.
