    Scarps trail runner

Simple but excellent construction, excellent fit. Outsole is excellent and burly. However, the rest of the sole construction is basic and very firm. No real motion control or other more advanced features for comfort. Good tough but basic shoe. Good style gets a lot of compliments.

Great shoes for wide feet, but...

I love the comfort and support these shoes provide. They are wide enough for my feet to have room without being sloppy. The only issue, so far, is the tread. It is sticky enough for steep scrambling even on sandy slickrock, but the tread wears too fast. It has only been 2 months and I've had to have them repaired. The uppers still look new but the tread was gone on at least 1/4 of the sole. 5 or 6 lugs on each foot were worn down flat. Please start using Vibram megagrip rubber on these so they will last as long as all my other Scarpa shoes.

    Good walking shoe

It’s a flashy looking sneaker. The tongue on it is weird and will take getting used to, it is sewed along the inside of the shoe making just one flap towards the outside.

They are a bit stiff, different then asics I usually get but solidly made and I’m hoping a lot longer lasting then a few months like asics.

Plenty of toe room, though I may get thicker insoles to snug em up, haven’t decided yet. They have a good solid grip to the ground and decent bounce on the heal. There is arch supports in these shoes that I’ll also need to get used to but all in all they are a win for me so far.

    Thanks for the review Steven!

Really appreciate the feedback on the build quality compared to your usual Asics - that durability is exactly what we're going for!
