The Drago LV is a low volume version of one of the most iconic shoes in the SCARPA line. Aggressively downturned and highly asymmetric with a forefoot wrapped in sticky rubber, the Drago LV represents the pinnacle of rock shoe construction with a modified fit that suits lower-volume feet.

  • PCB-Tension™ active rand provides dynamic power transfer directly to the big toe
  • 1/3 length Vibram® XS Grip 2 sole strategically puts the rubber only where you need it
  • SRT structural toe wrap in M50 rubber provides support and friction
  • A low-volume version of our iconic Drago
  • Perfect for bouldering or steep sport climbing

PRESSURE ABSORBING FIT (PAF) SYSTEM
PAF (Pressure Absorbing Fit) is an innovative heel system that helps both spread the force of the heel tension and increase the fit of the heel. The Active Rand rubber is interrupted behind the heel to reduce pressure on the achilles tendon and connected with 2mm XS GRIP2 rubber, that works like a bridge and allows full adaption to the shape of the heel while still providing dynamic forward pressure to focus power over the big toe. The holes on the side of the heel indicate the tension applied, which varies between 1 hole for light tension, 2 holes for mid tension and 3 holes for strong tension.

REDUCED VOLUME
The reduced volume of the Drago LV was carefully studied and mapped around the last. Not to be confused with a WMN version, the Drago LV was aimed at a user with a longer more narrow and flatter foot. This was primarily found to be men.

    My go-to shoe

The Drago LVs are one of my favourite ever shoes. They’re always my go-to for indoor climbing and training - and outdoors if I’m looking for a little more sensitivity. Steep and slab, heel hooking, toe hooking, and small edges, this shoe can pretty much do it all.

Yes the rubber is quite soft but even as a professional climber and wearing them every session mine will last for months of training before getting holes.

I wear a 38, the same size as my Instincts. For reference my street shoes are a 41.

Favorite soft shoe on the market!

These are hands down my favorite shoe for bouldering, steep sport climbing, and gym/board climbing. They fit my foot like a glove and you can feel them molding to the rock every time you stand on or toe into a foot hold. While I would choose a stiffer shoe for vertical terrain or more technical edging, the Dragos work wonders for heel hooks, toe hooks, smearing, and steep climbing. They also feel durable despite the softer rubber. As far as sizing - I size them about the same as an Instinct. For example, if I was looking for a performance fit, I would choose 39.5 of both although I could probably go another half size down in the Drago because it is a softer rubber. As far as fit - I have a wider toe box and really like the fit of the Instinct, but I still went with the LV Drago and am happy with that choice. Overall, would definitely recommend!

    Very Decent Work Horse

The Drago LV has been one of the most surprising shoes I’ve tried. It’s super lightweight, aggressively shaped, and has that soft rubber feel that makes it really good for steep climbing and anything that needs precision. The fit actually contours to my foot really well, but I did notice a hotspot around my middle toe during the first few sessions. I’ve learned that the way you put the shoe on really matters—if I slip it on with my toes already slightly pointed or stiffened, it goes on way cleaner and avoids that uncomfortable pressure.

Once I figured that out, the shoe became much more comfortable than I expected, even for longer sessions and multi-pitch days. The softness of the upper and the lack of a rigid midsole make the break-in feel pretty quick. When I size them down or really crank the strap, I get excellent power transfer in fully extended toe positions, which helps a ton on overhangs and technical edging.

Overall, the Drago LV feels like a high-performance shoe that still manages to be wearable for long climbs—as long as you take the time to put it on properly and give it a little break-in period. It’s definitely a shoe I’d keep in my rotation for both comfort and precision.
