SURROUND RUBBER TENSION (SRT)

PCB-TENSION™ ACTIVE RAND

PCB-Tension system is SCARPA’s most minimalist tension system designed with prehensile foot movement and sensitivity in mind. Perfectly adapted to work with the SRT system, Power Connection Band gives the foot complete freedom by reducing layers around the foot and minimizing distance between the foot and sole rubber pad.
SURROUND RUBBER TENSION (SRT)

SURROUND RUBBER TENSION (SRT)

SRT is a layer of our ultra-soft M50 rubber that wraps around the forefoot and translates the power directly to the tips of the toes. It also provides maximum friction and sensitivity for toe-hooking. Climbing with soft shoes improves one’s climbing style and naturally strengthens toe power. The total freedom of foot placement stimulates a faster and more dynamic movement on rock or plastic.

    2024 Limited Edition Drago

I love these shoes so much! They are great on slabby walls and smearing, but can also stick tiny foot chips. They fit my foot great and are made of very high quality materials. Definitely my favourite climbing shoe!

The Shoe That Taught Me To Toe Hook

I was always skeptical of softer shoes until I encountered the Drago.

These shoes changed the way I climb while projecting a V10 boulder first ascent in the Himalayas. The crux revolved around a horizontal dyno off of a bicycle move on a 45 degree overhang. Each time I would generate and reach the hold, but fail to stick it as my toehook would slip off of the arete, causing me to lose tension. The Drago's extended toe rubber and flexible construction allowed me to dig into the arete deeper than with the 5 other pairs I had tried for that move.

The dragos helped establish that problem and send many of my other projects leftover from the previous season. It's now my go-to bouldering shoe for superior heel hook and toe hook performance.

    Best Shoe Ever

I started wearing this shoe back in 2016 when they took off on the competition scene. Honestly they are the best all around versatile shoe I've ever worn. For sizing, I go down roughly 2.5 EURO sizes and fit them snug. #1 shoes on the IFSC World Cup circuit!

As a lighter climber 110 lbs. this has been my go to shoe

As a lighter climber 110 lbs. this has been my go to shoe because I can really make this shoe flex. In competitions this allows me to really flex my foot and get more grip on volumes and the rubber feels like it wraps around little jibs on slab in the gym. Outside this shoe has worked well for me on all types of climbing. It smeared really on moonlight butressss, rubys cafe and climbs all over little cottonwood. On face climbs it edges really well and toes in amazingly well. On overhanging boulders this shoe makes the smallest foot hold feel like jugs because of the aggressive turned down toe. It's been a great all around shoe for me.

Out of the box ready to use performance

This was my first pair of “high end climbing shoes” definitely was not a cheap pair of shoes. I was skeptical because I wasn’t sure if the LV Scarpa would be a better fit for me. But I am glad that I got the originals (also just love the color way more). I was very surprised how well they fit straight out the box. This was the most aggressive sizing I ever tried. I am a U.S. street shoe 9 I sized down to a 39.5 (US 7). They feel amazing have no dead space in the shoe the heel has no air pockets. They are incredibly soft I felt no pain breaking in these shoes. My only concern is the softness and price with such a soft shoe I worry that the rubber may not last as long and for the price being close to 200 I can’t find my self replacing these often. Over all very happy and feel so “pro” having these on.
