SCARPA Ski Sizing Chart

All SCARPA ski boots use Mondo sizing.

SCARPA ski boots break on the half size, this means that a half size shares the same shell length as the whole size above it but the liners are lasted for each 1/2 size. For example, a 25.5 and 26.0 are the same shell size but the respective liners come pre-molded to the half size.

Some skiers may want to downsize up to 1 full Mondo size, depending upon personal preference.

Exactly what I was looking for.

I’m surprised this boot doesn’t have more information available. SCARPA delivered exactly what they said this was. It’s a true 50/50 hybrid boot. I won’t say it does one better than the other. It really splits the difference. I’m a PSIA ski instructor and an avid ski touring enthusiast. I wear this boot for long 12+ hour days on green terrain and I can tour for the same amount of time. They’re light, stiff enough for even the hardest charging days and comfortable to be a daily use boot. It truly is a boot that does both. It’s that simple. It works very well.

Equally great on the skin track and inbounds

I bought the women’s version of this boot because I’m only 60kg. They are a bit softer than my Maestrales but I exchanged the stock power strap for the one from the XT and they are pretty much perfect now. There are a number of comments here about the width and fit but it turns out to be perfect for me. I’m still amazed that a boot that is this light and good on the skin track skis like a true alpine boot. I didn’t use my alpine boots once last season!

    Great as a touring boot

This boot looks like a resort boot, and is stiff enough to be used as such if you want. But I’ve used this boot exclusively as a touring boot last spring, because it fit my foot so well, and I was shocked at how well it toured + skied. For what it’s worth, I’ve found this fit differs from most Scarpa ski boots-it’s a low volume boot (which I greatly appreciate! It’s hard to find LV touring boots).

It’s a stiff enough boot for anything I’ll be skiing in the backcountry. The flex is legit. Maybe on resort I could see myself wanting a little bit more flex…but if that’s you, buy the XT

The walk mode rom is fantastic for a 4 buckle boot-better than the Hawx XTD, and better than the ZeroG Pro Tour (for my foot geometry at least). Slightly worse forward ROM than rearward, but it’s an overlap 4 buckle boot.

The weight is competitive with lighter touring boots (lighter than the Dynafit Radical). Getting a lighter boot will push you down a few classes of “ski ability”

I have skied big days in the Sierras and PNW volcanoes with these boots. Days that involve skinning, booting, scrambling, hiking, ice steps, you name it. 8000’ of gain was no issue with these bad boys.

    My two complaints:

    1) I don’t ski resort very often, so I find the Gripwalj sole to be more of a hindrance than a benefit.

    2) the ROM of the walk mode is very accommodating while the boot is fully unbuckled. The boot has extra spots to clip the buckles into, so you can skin with the boot “open”-but that…

    First Ski Boot

These are my first pair of ski boots and I would have to say that they are amazing for someone getting into the sport for the first time. I used them in France, Italy, and Switzerland so far and I love them for how they support my arches and feet when I send or crash.

Great Boots -- Performance and comfort!

I'm a ski patroller, so I'm in my boots a solid 8 hours per day. They have to be comfortable, but still perform in all conditions -- powder, "hardpack", crud, mashed potatoes. I had the liners heat-formed to my feet and they fit better than any other boot I have worn. The Gripwalk soles are wonderful! They integrate perfectly with my Marker bindings. The rubber-ish soles with hiking boot pattern are great on pavement, concrete, or climbing stuff. The walk mode is very flexible and makes for a much more comfortable experience sitting at the top waiting for calls. They hug my feet and give me a lot of power transmission from my legs into the ski. Control is excellent. Some people don't like the cable buckles, but they don't bother me. The overlapping shell does take some getting used to, but isn't bad once you get used to it. It does create a snugger fit around the legs.

Overall -- I love it and I wish I had spent the extra money on Scarpa years ago!
