Customers say these shoes are incredibly comfortable right out of the box and versatile for hiking, scrambling, and everyday wear. Many highlight the excellent fit, durable construction, and exceptional grip on various terrain. The Vibram sole offers reliable traction and edging ability. An ode to my Scarpa Crux shoes

You have carried my weight from near to far

From our Colorado Rockies home to far flung travels

The Faroe Islands, Alaska and Norway to the north

Moab, Arches, and Joshua Tree to the South

Wyoming to Montana, Nevada to the Smokies.

    Hundreds upon hundreds of miles,

    Thousands upon thousands of feet.

Today you met your match on the Costa Brava.

Here in Catalonia you meet your end.

    good shoe, short life

The shoe fits great, looks great, I likethe stiffness, and it laces up perfectly snug in all the right places. Unfortunately the midsole which is not very strong started to disintegrate under my toes after a hundred miles. This is my second pair.

Well made, but tight in the toe

I like the way these shoes are built and they are good looking too, but they are too tight in the toe for me. I have very average feet, but even after adjusting the laces, they were too tight.

    Perfect

First shoes bought online and they fit well almost right out of the box; needed a a day or two of wearing them in. I wear them on the concrete sidewalks of Manhattan and the rocky fields of West Cork, Ireland. I love the comfort, the security of the treads, the look, and the lightness. (Im a long-time fan of Scarpa climbing boots.) If a half size up had been in stock, I would have gone for that as they are snug in the toes so I wear a thinner sock to accommodate. Overall, a winner for me.
