BOA® FIT SYSTEM

The patented Boa® Fit System consists of three integral parts: a micro-adjustable dial, super-strong lightweight laces, and low friction lace guides. Each unique configuration is engineered for effortless precision delivering a connected, fast, customized, and durable fit, and is backed by The Boa® Guarantee. The F1 LT system is an exclusive floating system located under the waterproof fabric cover that contracts downwards on the instep of the liner as the dial is tightened, precisely controlling volume and fit.

CARBON CORE

The F1 shell features a carbon core arch insert that adds significant strength and rigidity as well as torsional resistance to the boot. It wraps under the arch, and up on both sides of the boot reinforcing the cuff interface, interconnecting the cuff and shell with a lightweight yet strong junction, helping to increase impulse transmission to the skis without adding weight.

SCARPA Ski Sizing Chart

All SCARPA ski boots use Mondo sizing.

SCARPA ski boots break on the half size, this means that a half size shares the same shell length as the whole size above it but the liners are lasted for each 1/2 size. For example, a 25.5 and 26.0 are the same shell size but the respective liners come pre-molded to the half size.

Some skiers may want to downsize up to 1 full Mondo size, depending upon personal preference.

Third pair of f1’s need I say more!! I just wear them out after over 500 days on them. Will probably get a fourth pair in two years. Thanks Scarpa

New boots and no blisters during a 4 day BC backcountry hut trip!

I just returned from a 4-day backcountry hut trip in the Purcell Mountains in Canada and these boots absolutely exceeded my expectations. I had boots that worked, but every time I wore them, at mile 5 I'd get a heel blister like clockwork. I took a chance and purchased these boots right before the trip. I did some home boot work with some hot rice to pack out the toe area before the trip, but I had never worn them on snow until the hut trip (scary I know!). But they were PERFECT. I toured every day for 4 days, and the last day of the trip, we had a 15mile skin out of the hut. That's a pretty hefty day and I didn't have any problems! Thank you Scarpa and I'd definitely recommend these boots to anyone. Additionally, I was skiing them in Marker Kingpin bindings and we ended the trip with a resort day and the boots worked great for ripping some inbounds turns as well.

A boot that hike and skis great!

So, I'm a 73 inch/185 cm 185 lb/84 kg skier and have been leery of lighter boots as I've snapped tongues/shells before skiing in lighter kicks. But these boots really hold up well in their flex with a walk mode that makes me feel like skipping through alpine fields singing about how alive the mountains are. You can't go crazy in these boots but for climbing to get summer turns, I've found them to be excellent. Having a tongue is a major factor in my choosing them over say a lighter and supposedly stiffer LT, for instance. It's a real ski boot that allows you to dial in that edge control in a turn.

I also have a long 46.5 and wide foot that is all bone and little volume where I have to fill in room in my winter boots; these ones fit snug right out of the box and no issues! Which is great as I'd hate to got a smaller size to feel tight without two pairs of socks yet bang my toes.

In short, a stellar boot that provides light confidence in steep situations.

A Fantastic Lightweight Boot Great for Skimo and Long Days in the Mountain

The men’s F1 boot is a new addition to my quiver of Scarpa Boots. I have been using the Maestrale line exclusively for the last 5 years, but I was pleasantly surprised with how well this boot skied, especially for how light it is. The Boa system makes for very speedy transitions and as always, the Intuition liners are very comfortable and warm. This boot has a fantastic range of motion with very little resistance while skinning. The F1 will be my go to boot for any long tours in the mountains as well as springtime ski mountaineering.

    Walks Like My Shoes

Upgraded to these from the Maestrale RS for a slightly lighter boot for longer touring missions, and it was worth it. These boots are extremely comfortable to walk in (I have a slightly narrower foot) and when fully unbuckled unboa'd don't lose their shape or create weird hot spots. Granted, these are a bit softer than the Maestrale as you are giving up buckles for straps and a boa. My biggest issue is that they are slightly difficult to get tight with the boa and strap system, but once you break them and the straps in a bit they get the job done. My big takeaway is that they are light and comfortable enough that I can ski further for longer and still have great days out.
