SURROUND RUBBER TENSION (SRT)

PRESSURE ABSORBING FIT (PAF) SYSTEM

PAF (Pressure Absorbing Fit) is an innovative heel system that helps both spread the force of the heel tension and increase the fit of the heel. The Active Rand rubber is interrupted behind the heel to reduce pressure on the achilles tendon and connected with 2mm XS GRIP2 rubber, that works like a bridge and allows full adaption to the shape of the heel while still providing dynamic forward pressure to focus power over the big toe. The holes on the side of the heel indicate the tension applied, which varies between 1 hole for light tens
SURROUND RUBBER TENSION (SRT)

SURROUND RUBBER TENSION (SRT)

SRT is a layer of our ultra-soft M50 rubber that wraps around the forefoot and translates the power directly to the tips of the toes. It also provides maximum friction and sensitivity for toe-hooking. Climbing with soft shoes improves one’s climbing style and naturally strengthens toe power. The total freedom of foot placement stimulates a faster and more dynamic movement on rock or plastic.

Most fun shoe I own, and more durable than you'd think

I love climbing in this shoe. It reminds me of climbing in sneakers. It just feels natural and fun. There are going to be obvious drawbacks with it being such a soft light shoe like less support than an ultra stiff shoe. If you're judging it against other soft shoes though, it's the best I've climbed in. I've owned three pairs now, and I'm always shocked by how long they last. Everyone's experienced will differ here, but I've had great luck with all of my pairs lasting me just as long as any other shoe I wear.

Great for bouldering and training, but questionable for low angled sport climbing. Not just because they aren't the best at tiny edges, but because the lack of support will leave your feet TIRED. Though if you climbed in them all the time then that would likely resolve itself as your feet got stronger.

If you want to venture into high quality soft shoes. This is a great option.

    Love Them But...

I love these shoes for indoor climbing. Super soft and tactile, can really feel the smaller holds which is a huge plus. My only "but" is that I found myself having to size up a full-size basically to even get my foot inside...

Idk, I guess you wear what you wear but going up so much in size through me off. I normally wear a 9.5 and went with a 43.5 in these.

    great shoe

i’ve been using these for 2 months and there are the best shoe for indoors and some outdoor boulder but do not recommend outdoor sport climbing with them but they are really good for volumes but the plastic piece is bigger so it makes it so you can be very comfortable on very small foot holds so best of both worlds so far my favorite shoe

    Durable, sticky, sensitive.

My first pair of these lasted me over a year, and even though I ordered a size that turned out to be slightly over-large for me, they have performed incredibly. They are also the most comfortable climbing shoe I've ever worn, to the point that I often forget to take them off at all during a session. The toe rubber is soft, flexible, and sensitive, but the shoe still provides excellent foot support which makes it good for small, sharp edges as well as glossy, rounded footholds. My only real issue is with the heel box; it has a strange shape and never seems to quite fit right, to the point that it often slips significantly while trying to place heels. However, that could be due to my particular pair being a little oversized. I plan to order another pair soon in a half size down, and hopefully that issue will be reduced or eliminated

Exactly as described, good and bad.

They are absolutely the minimalist shoe that's advertised, and that comes with the positives and negatives associated with that claim. You get the light weight sensitively you want, but you lose the protection you might need for certain moves. If you need to do an aggressive heel hook that requires you to put a lot of weight on your heel, this shoe provides no support. I've had to stop trying certain climbs because after a few tries my heel hurt too much to do the move. I've had similar problems with a toe hook that might require you to use the top of the shoe where there's no rubber.

As for the actual performance of the shoes, they're what you'd expect. They're great for aggressive climbs, the toes are stiff, and the rubber is sticky. Just make sure you know how to pick shoes that fit properly. The heels on mine are too deep for my feet, and the left one digs into my achilles really badly. I'm forced to put a pad inside that women use for high heels just so I can wear the shoes for a climb session.

As far as durability goes, the shoe seems to hold up. I've had it for almost a year, and the toe still has a good edge. I will say I think the rubber has worn down a little, and I've had some issues slipping off of some volumes in the gym.
