Recently got the GG2. I find this to be an awesome all arounder shoe. It is not a fat squish shoe like some of the other models but it is super comfortable. It has enough traction for trail running but works great on the road. It has some firmness and stiffness underfoot to protect from rocks but is plenty comfortable. It is medium width in the front, not a fat flipper or a narrow toe box (I do have wide front feet and it feels great).

It’s hard to find supportive shoes that vent. Additionally I love the euro sizing. The 46.5 equates to 12-1/2 which is impossible to find elsewhere!

I’ve only gotten three runs in on the new Golden gate 2, but have been really happy with them. The fit is traditional Scarpa l, but with a bit more room in the toe box which is nice. Looking forward to many more on and off road runs with them.
