30+ years wearing scarpa shoes climbing approach running etc.

great shoe for all warm weather running, super light, well vented, keeps your feet cool. Lots of cushion but stable on trails. Great shoe for all surfaces. Not a technical mountain race shoe, but pretty damn good anywhere.

    Upper failed after 200 miles

The shoe fit great, but the upper developed large holes in the upper around the tow joints.

    Travel Star

I have size 10 feet. When traveling shoes take up the bulk of my luggage space. Bringing Trail and Road shoes means not being able to bring much else especially if I'm only traveling with a carry on. I love the Golden Gate for how it bridges the terrains and reduces space consumed in my bag. Bringing this one pair lets me run from wherever I am staying and find fun trails to get off the pavement.

    Everything and Anything

These have quickly become my go-to shoes to cover pretty much anything: roads, gravel, double-track, single-track, long, short, speedy, slow... they can handle it all. The versatility has proven extremely helpful on variable terrain and when traveling so I don't have to bring four different pairs of shoes with me everywhere I go to cover all my bases. I recently took these as my only pair of shoes on a two-week trip that included 150 miles, 3 long runs, 2 speed workouts, 8 easy runs, and 2 stride sessions. They felt great the whole time, even fresh out of the box.

Even when I'm home, though, they've honestly replaced many of my more "specialized" shoes because they just perform better across the board too. I'm especially impressed with how nimble they feel when picking up the pace or over long distances, since I'd originally planned on using them only for short and easy miles, but I could easily see myself running 50+ mile races in these on stable terrain.
