Reviews Summary
Customers say these boots are comfortable right out of the box with excellent ankle support and a secure fit. Many highlight their durability, with users reporting years of reliable performance through rugged terrain, snow, and daily wear. The toe box works well for narrow feet, though some find it too snug for wider feet. Reviewers praise the waterproofing, grippy tread, and lightweight yet sturdy construction. Common feedback notes the boots maintain their shape and support over extended use. A few mention the cuff eyelet can bite the ankle, and one user noted cold penetration in deep snow.

    Solid-literal and figurative

6 weeks in of wearing 3-6 miles a day and very pleased with the comfort and support of these sturdy boots! I hike my dog in PA woods 2-4 miles a day. The boots shine in this environment of dirt, grass, rocks and a good amount of roots. I appreciate the full toe guard, waterproof gtx, heel lock lacing and lacing that goes far down to the toe area. The stiff sole prevents me from feeling every rock and root underfoot. I have multiple foot issues and find a stiff sole is crucial in avoiding a clawing position which tires the foot and does not provide adequate support. I have walked several miles in tall wet grass and the gortex performs as expected. There was no break in period beyond getting my calf used to a higher boot. I do use custom orthotics in them. Without it, I did not have enough arch support. I also wear these boots walking the dog in town daily 2.5 miles and pleased with the traction on both wet and dry concrete sidewalks, roads, gravel and dirt roads and washed out pea gravel on streets. The traction does slip on wet sealed asphalt. I look forward to many years with this boot!

These boots were very disappointing as well as customer service. I've put 44 miles on these boots now. They were great at first but as they broke in there's an unbearable pressue in top of my foot in the right boot. Left does it a little on long hikes but the right is now so bad I can't wear the boots at all. Tried emailing customer service 2 days ago and no reply. I heard good things about these boots. I guess I got ripped off $340.

    3rd Pair, Excellent boot.

The first pair were awesome and used them on the motorcycle then to mow the lawn and still do. Second pair looked great until I used them on the motorcycle and over time that makes them dingy. They are great looking boot but after enough time on the bike they lose their luster so I retired that pair to garage work and such. The new pair look awesome and feel great. So this has been about 5 years with this boot model.

Great Boots - I Miss the Discontinued WIDE Version

These are fantastic rugged hiking boots that I use to adventure all over in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, USA. The photo with my review is atop Mt. Madison with Washington in the background. These hold up so well in the notoriously rough granite of these mountains where trailrunners just disintegrate. The full heavy duty toe cap takes so much abuse and I've watched my friends' boots fall apart at the toe. Not these! Vibram soles give you all that grip you need, even on wet days. I'm in the mountains quite a bit and I get about 3 years of hiking out of the soles before I retire them to forest trails and I get a new pair for summits. GTX means dry, and I have kerplunked these things in a million puddles, steams, and mud and they just shrug.

I put Superfeet Hike insoles in them, and can handle 15+ mile multi summit days as well as lighter duty dayhikes in the summer. Never once had any blisters in these.

Unfortunately, Scarpa used to make a WIDE version of these boots and they were absolutely perfect. Some pencil pushing genius thought the CEO could buy another yacht if they discontinued them, so now I'm going to try these normal versions. Please bring back the WIDE (I've asked, they say there are no plans to).

They're increased the price by 12.5% since I bought them last in 2023. What was very pricey at $320 then is a questionable purchase at $360 now, but I liked these so much I did not want to switch. Divide 360 by 3(years) and I'm very happy to pay 120 a year…

This is a beautiful boot, and I would’ve loved to have taken it on my excursion to Kailash! It would’ve been very appropriate! Unfortunately, it was a little too narrow and I chose to return it.
