Lightweight touring boot designed for skiers who value efficiency on the climb and confidence on the descent. The 2025 Maestrale brings SCARPA’s signature balance of innovation and dependability to alpine touring, perfect for those who move fast in the backcountry but demand control when it’s time to ski. A Pebax® Rnew® shell keeps weight low and flex lively, while the Speed MLT walk mode delivers a 61-degree range of motion for natural uphill strides. The Intuition® Pro Flex Touring liner molds precisely to your foot for warmth and comfort on long days in variable terrain. A Vibram® Cayman LT sole ensures secure traction on icy traverses, and the 102mm last provides a snug, responsive fit for technical performance.

For ski mountaineers, guides, and passionate tourers alike, the Maestrale proves that lightweight doesn’t mean compromise, it means freedom.

  • Pebax® Rnew® shell reduces weight while maintaining powerful, progressive flex for efficient climbs and confident descents.
  • Speed MLT walk mode with a 61-degree range of motion allows a smooth, unrestricted touring stride and secure lock for skiing.
  • Intuition® Pro Flex Touring liner offers heat-moldable comfort that enhances warmth and precision fit across long tours.
  • Vibram® Cayman LT sole (ISO 9523) provides reliable traction and stability on rock, snow, and ice.
  • 102mm last creates a comfortable, performance-oriented fit suited for extended backcountry missions.

Step into the Maestrale: light on the climb, strong on the descent, and ready for every mountain mission.

UPDATED LAST

A new 102mm wide last provides more performance and comfort. The widest part of the shell is now located further back on the lateral side of the foot, near the “sixth toe” providing more comfort in a critical area for a lot of feet. To further enhance fit and performance, the toe box and heel pocket have been reshaped to provide a significant increase in both precision and responsiveness compared to previous versions. More comfort, more performance!
CARBON CORE

CARBON CORE

For the first time ever, the Maestrale and Gea feature carbon fiber. Our new Carbon Core technology adds serious backbone to the Pebax® Rnew shell to increase performance and power transmission.

SCARPA Ski Sizing Chart

All SCARPA ski boots use Mondo sizing.

SCARPA ski boots break on the half size, this means that a half size shares the same shell length as the whole size above it but the liners are lasted for each 1/2 size. For example, a 25.5 and 26.0 are the same shell size but the respective liners come pre-molded to the half size.

Some skiers may want to downsize up to 1 full Mondo size, depending upon personal preference.

I wish I bought these years ago.

I finally bought my dream boots, and they were SO worth it.

Fit, weight, stiffness, walk-mode are all better than what I was expecting.

Scarpa has nailed it with this boot.

    Disappointing

I am a Scarpa foot wear fan. I have three pairs hiking boots, two pairs monutaineering boots, 5 pairs rock shoes and several pairs of hiking shoes. They generally fit me well and the quality is excellent.

I bought these as a replacement for a 12 year old pair of Spirit 4 boots that are about as comfortable as s ski boot can be for me. On the plus side they are quite a bit lighter and ski about the same . On the negative side as one reviewer mentioned the power strap is useless. It seems like a total after thought. They are not as comfortable for me. (high volume, hight arch foot). They are hard to get into. The adjustment for the top buckle rack doesn't work in the tightest position. as the bump for the screw in the loose position doesn't allow it to fold into place. lastly the wire on the instep strap broke after 15 days use. (Does seem like Scarpa will send me a replacement for free)

    The Best

You absolutely can't go wrong with this boot. Others have tried, but never equaled, this boot's unique blend of light weight, warmth and power. I'm an older guy (65) and probably will ask to be buried in these things.

    Best performance/comfort

I work many hours in my boots as a ski patrol/sow safety/avalanche dog handler. The Mastrale has for me been the best performance and comfort of any of the other boots I have had. Keep the improvements coming!

    Super Light

I have had several versions of this boot over the years. Just purchased this years model - the liner is comfortable and boot is super lightweight. Just some thoughts - the Power Strap is kind of useless as it does not stay tight and rides up over the top of the boot which in turn will rub the front of your leg. After removing it, everything was more comfortable - don't worry, the boot cuff adjustments make up for no Power Strap and it skis quite well just the same. The boot designers should also consider making the Virbram Sole replaceable like some of the other models - that would be a great feature. Other than that - it's a great boot!
