SPIN ULTRA 2 WOMEN'S

You don’t have to be an ultra runner to appreciate the Spin Ultra 2. While it’s designed for long-distance trail running, I’ve found it to be an exceptional choice for cross-training and everyday mountain mileage—especially when it comes to taking care of my knees and feet.

The cushioning is well-balanced: plush enough to reduce impact and keep joints happy, but not so soft that you lose connection with the terrain. The fit is dialed and secure, with just enough room in the toe box to keep things comfortable on longer days. Traction is solid, even on variable trail surfaces, and the overall ride is smooth and responsive

Somehow this shoe is cushioned and supportive enough for XXL runs, yet low enough to the ground and stable for the most gnarly of technical terrain. The upper breathes and manages water exceptional well, and the Vibram grip and tread is sensational in all terrain. The Spin Ultra 2 is an obvious choice for a 100-mile mountain race shoe! I have found these run slightly small compared to the Golden Gate ATR 2, and I had to go up a half size.

These are going to be real game changers on the trail scene. Scarpa's first foray into super shoe territory does not disappoint! You can really feel the power of the super critical TPEE foam in these, which also helps my legs last significantly longer over the course of long miles. They're supportive and responsive without being too plush for good ground feel or too unstable for quick agile footwork. I've put almost 300 miles in my pair, including a 100k race, and they're nowhere near ready for retirement. After taking the overall win at that 100k (yep, even the boys!) these are now my go-to distance racing shoe.

Great all around shoe that is capable for long trail runs. Super comfy but supportive out of the box. Great lacing system. They feel fast! I find them a little more unstable on the technical ground than my Ribelle's but still capable (and similar to my Spin Infinity's in terms of technical prowess). Fits similar to other Spin line shoes. Already bought a back up pair...
