The Zodiac Tech GTX is a lightweight technical mountain boot built for long days in steep, rocky terrain when you need confident edging, stability, and waterproof protection. Trusted by guides and rescue professionals, it feels precise underfoot on talus, scrambling routes, and exposed traverses, with support that stays comfortable from approach to descent. The Perwanger Nepal suede leather upper is engineered for durable water repellency and breathability, while the GORE-TEX® ePE lining adds waterproof protection for wet rock, spring snowmelt, and shoulder-season weather. Underfoot, the Bascule Adaptive System (BAS) helps the outsole lugs adapt to uneven ground for better contact and control, and the Vibram® BAS Precision outsole delivers secure traction when the terrain gets technical. Built in Italy and designed for days that don’t offer shortcuts, the Zodiac Tech GTX helps you move with purpose when no place is too far.

    Good all arounder

    Second pair. These run a bit large so I could size down from to 42 to 41.5. Still enough room. Lacing system works well well when retightened for descents. No toe crunch. Great for steeper and more gnarly trails as found in the Pyrenees. Will accept semi auto crampons for alpine experiences. I prefer the leather over the synthetic upper. Breaks in well and is ounce an ounce or so heavier. My scarpa feet love my scarpa boots.

    Good traction on rock, solid sole for rock and snow, these delivered! Only wish they came in women's in sizes larger than 42

    Fantastic

    Ive been wearing trail runners to hike and backpack the last few years but neeeded something a little more serious for some upsoming plans. I wore these around the house for about two weeks just trying to see if i could get myself to accept taller boots. finally decided to go for it. Wore them out this weekend for 6 mikes and 2k feet and they were fantastic. I was climbing a section that was super steep and the whole design just made perfect sense. Looking forward to getting back out and putting real miles on them.
